... then the seagull appeared. The seagull is also a friend in the hours of loneliness, because I've been at sea, I've sailed for a number of years and so I may have got a better understanding of man's loneliness and the woman's waiting. And the seagull, just as it would comfort me during hours at sea, now pictorially comforts this woman during her wait.
